Today, we have the pleasure of getting a closer look at this unique niche of the lawn care industry by speaking with Sam Upshaw, owner of Up Lawncare Services. 

Tell us about your business and what makes your business unique in Memphis.

I own and operate a lawn and landscaping business that focuses on quality work at a competitive price with customer service as the catalyst.

Does your business have any upcoming events that you want potential customers to be on the lookout for?

UP Lawncare is excited to announce our Customer Loyalty Program beginning March 1st.

We know being a business owner comes with its own unique rewards and challenges alike. Is there anything you did to overcome any challenges you faced with your business? Are there any people you would like to recognize who have helped along the way?

Woke up every day for work even if the business was slow, kept utilizing social media to make connections with people, and kept operations as lean as possible without compromising quality. I would like to thank my parents for pushing me to start my own business at the age of 8 and the residents of South Memphis who allowed me to mow lawns even when I wasn’t that good at it. They helped to build my foundation as an entrepreneur.
