Little Heaven FDH is a home-based Jr. Pre-K program currently enrolling ages 2-5. Owned and operated by an educator of 22 years. We sat down with Lakeya Johnson-Little owner of Little Heaven Family Day Home. Here’s what she had to tell us.

Tell us about your business and what makes your business unique in Memphis.

What separates us from other childcare providers is we focus on the development of the whole child. CDA qualified and CPR&First aid trained. Opened 7:30am-5:00pm. We provide breakfast, lunch, a 2:30 snack, and a 4pm snack. I assist with potty training, Basic Spanish lessons, daily schedules, and curriculum. I provide a fun and safe learning environment. School readiness is my goal. Education, mind, body, and soul. We have a licensed Yoga instructor who comes twice a month, art lessons that include sensory activities, music lessons, monthly field trips and so much more. We also provide emergency care and Drop in days to parents whose children are not enrolled full-time.  

Does your business have any upcoming events that you want potential customers to be on the lookout for?

Annually we host a Winter Ball and Fall Festival. In February 2023 we are hosting our First Father-Daughter/Mother-son dance for Valentine’s Day. We also give back to the community by Collecting supplies for Secret Saints who donate to the patients at The West Cancer Clinic, Collect blankets for the homeless with the black-owned company PJ’s Promise, Donate toys for the black-owned business Angel Tree with Diva Stars Spa for Girls.
